At the end of a hot summer, our academy welcomed the team from Jing-She Wushu School in Portugal. The Master of this school had planned this special trip. The team was made up by Alexander, Anna and Luis. They prepared for this trip for a long time. Studying the authentic Wudang Kungfu was their dream. Now their dream has come true at the China Wudang Kungfu Academy. They came to our school on 12th of August. Although they felt very tired after a long and hard trip, and the weather at Wudangshan was very hot, they started to study straight after their arrival without any rest. The temperature reached 39 degrees celsius – and people perspired as if they were in the shower. They spent 12 days under these conditions studding at our academy. We are very proud of them. They finished studing: Wudang Sanfeng taiji 13 form, which is the original form created by Zhang Sanfeng, Baxian Jian (Eight Immortals Sword), which is created according to different characteristics of famous eight immortals; Qixing Jian (Seven Star Sword), which combines beautiful movements with power and strength. Under Master Chen’s watchful eye and with the help of his dedicated Coaches, they can now perform the forms very well. Before leaving, they expressed so much emotion towards the academy and Master Chen — they said thanks to Master Chen and coaches again and again. They said they have already started to miss the academy very much. They expressed their thoughts of spreading Wudang Kungfu after their return to Portugal as they would like to let more Portuguese people know the benefits of traditional Wudang Kungfu. They plan to return for futher study when the chance arises. We give our best wishes to them and hope they can bring the good spirit from the mysterious Wudang Mountain to their families and friends. We warmly welcome them back at any time — China Wudang Kungfu Academy is their second home.
